At the annual Membership Meeting in January, 2009, the California Gold Coast Watercolor Society voted to close down the organization and merge with the Buenaventura Art Association. This spring the Boards of both associations are busy with moving money and memberships and the merge will be complete by July 1, 2009. It is an exciting move and looks like a win-win situation!
All current 2008 CGCWS members in good standing have the option of having a paid membership in BAA for one year, courtesy of the former CGCWS bank account. BAA has always been interested in watercolor and watermedia and is looking forward to this influx of talented artists and the opportunity to showcase their work.
