Call for Artists - Simi Valley Town Center: Southern California artists can compete for selection as a Monthly Calendar “featured artist.”

  • WHAT: Calendar is full color and the primary collateral used to highlight all Simi Valley Town Centerevents including a monthly Fine Art Show and Sale. Artwork selected will be featured in the interior of the Calendar, and the name of the artist will be recognized on the front cover as well.

Call for Entries: Exhibit at Community Memorial Hospital
Buenaventura Art Association announces a “Call for Entries” for the first exhibit on the ground floor of Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura in September 2008. Works will be for sale and a reception for the artists will be held as well. The exhibit is titled “Local Scenes” however; artists are encouraged to submit abstract interpretations of local scenes as well as literal renderings.
Details:

  • Submit works to Buenaventura Art Association for consideration.
  • Criteria: jpeg only. Approx 5” x 5” and 100 dpi. Each jpeg must be identified w/artist name, title of piece. In addition, medium, size and sales price must be submitted for each piece.
  • Deadline: August 13, 2008.
  • There are no entry fees; however non-BAA members will be subject to a 40% commission if piece is sold.

RU Evolved? Juried Show - Artists Reflect on Darwin @ 200
February 12, 2009 will mark Charles Darwin’s 200th Birthday. Artists are asked to submit slides or digital images of up to three wall-hung works in any media (except jewelry and ceramics) that speak to the theme of “R U Evolved? Artists Reflect on Darwin @ 200.”
